Todd, this painting has such a calm sweetness about it. I love how it's framed, as well. Wonderful work!

Todd – you have turned me into a cow lover. Your paintings are simply excellent. The dabs of color, darks and lights – composition – I really like the window in the upper corner -- once again you have succeeded in opening up the space. Well done.

I never thought I love a cow but
I love this one. This is wonderful.

Hi Todd,
This is another beauty... lots of subtle detail behind the cow to enjoy and examine IF you can take your eyes off the heifer! The structure of the cow is so well painted without being obvious - nice colors. The touch of snow and the light and shadow on the ground are such interesting touches. Very, very nice!

Really nice Todd. I was hoping that you had finished this one up. Nice mix of cool and warm and architectural and organic.
She looks so fluffy, like she just had a bath.

Thanks, I'm chipping away at a companion piece for this one and really trying to pay attention to some of the contrasts Frank mentioned. Happy painting to you all.
Best,
Todd

Love her little red ear tag too. Nice design of the space and the soft filtered light. I really like the dark frame.

Nice work, Todd. I'm really drawn to the shadow of what may be another cow or...? in the unseen doorway. I love the way it stirs my imagination beyond the boundary of the picture. Speaking of boundaries, the frame looks great too!

Beautiful. Such a soft quiet painting. I can almost smell the barn. A companion piece to Bessie? What do you think??
Keep up the good work!
Liza

Final, framed piece looks great, Todd!

Thanks again, I think the frame works for this piece. The red ear tag is a little tool I used to bring some prismatic color into this primarily earth pallet painting.
