Thank you for your kind words, I agree, the web is filled with so many talented artist, it's really inspiring. Regarding advice, I think we are all really beginners working hard every painting to improve and try to better understand the craft. I think I speak for a lot of artist when I say that the best way to improve is by simply doing. Paint-paint-paint. Of course, good instruction and good books are always a great resource. There is tons of info on the web. 5 books I would reccomend: 1) Richard Schmid: Alla prima 2) Robert Henri: The Art Spirit 3) Emille Gruppe on color 4) Nathan Goldstein: Design and Composition 5) Hawthorn on Painting
and maybe a sixth would be Andrew Wyeth's a secret life just to appreciate the mind of an absolutely possessed artist who lives for the craft. On the web check out Robert Genns twice weekly letter and James Gurneys blog "Gurneys Journey. There are billions of others but these are a good start. Most of all, paint-paint-paint.
