Todd, thanks so much for your visit and comments on my blog. It really does have to be about quality and not WORK.
Max is adorable and the portrait is beautiful. I just spent the weekend in Grantham, NH with my brother and sister in law and their baby boys, 4 and 2 yrs old. It was just what the doctor ordered after the stress of moving and jump starting the Open Studios as'Point Man', in this new building.
I would love for you to come and bring the family next year.
Oh yeah, the SOX?
OMG what a thrill!
Pinch pinch .....
Happy Painting friend.

Very fine, Todd. This image is haunting in the most wonderful way. The child's face seems so immediate and present, yet timeless, too. If it were in sepia-tone it could almost be like a beautiful old tintype of a long-ago face.

Thanks so much for the nice compliments, seriously, very cool of you all to say. The infant is my ten month old son Max..it's a gift for my wife Alison. As you could probably imagine, it emotionally warmed my heart to paint the little guy. He had me a goo-goo.

Hi Todd,
You have captured the happy "spark" in Max's face and eyes that I imagine reflects his joyful personality! I love the fact that you did this painting on a round panel as it encourages the viewer to "go around" the painting and examine the detail that you have so expertly included for us to enjoy. Thanks for sharing this gift with us, your fans.

Todd you bring the cute innosence to life - great job!

I have work out “the best” 50th anniversary for mom-dad. My sisters wanna turn a photo into a painting. My eldest sis thinks it’s romantic – she got proposed by her boyfriend (now her fiance) with a ring and a great painting by these guys. How should I go about this, Todd? Thanks, Mitch

Mitch,

Thanks, It sounds like a great gift idea, I'm a little unclear as to what you are asking me specifically. Please feel free to email me at my regular email and we can chat about it more in depth. tmbonita@gmail.com
