The rust on the key and the grain in wood are beautiful. So rich in texture. Very well done. Another wonderful painting !!

Thanks so much, this was lots of fun as a study and satisfying developing those textures. Onward we go...

Your wood is always so well done but the colors and texture of the key are what keeps me looking.
Nice work, Todd!

The details and colors in these keys are amazing Todd. I have some old keys like these and you've hit the colors and textures right on. I feel like I could reach in and pick these up.
I would need to get some glasses to be able to paint like this.

Frank, thanks man..believe it or not, this starts out with bigger brushes than you might think and then about the last one-third of the painting you may need to bust out those glasses.
Jean, Stefan and Rob, thanks to you all, you are all such talented painters, it really means a lot to read your nice comments.
Mary, I'm very jealous, the Sox look solid again, about 90% of the 2007 champion team is in tact..bring your paint box. have fun.

This is so simple and yet so complex. I love how you've depicted it!

What exquisite work. The warmth in the wood grain and the rust on the key is really exceptional.

Very impressive, Todd. I was just telling someone the other day about how lame I was in art as a kid, but that there was this one guy who could win with something he dashed off that f--ing day! I was talking about you, of course. Now I e-mail copies of your paintings and say "I went to school with this guy!" Anyway, good stuff. Hope all is well in Greenland or wherever you live...you know, "the woods."
