Wow! This is fantastic. What a wonderful painting; the light is perfect, the textures wonderful. Would like to hang this one on my wall and look at it forever. Congratulations; a masterpiece!

Have put you on my follow list!

Very nice. I love the atmosphere in this painting. It's quiet, thoughtful and somewhat mysterious.

Thanks Beth, I was thinking mysterious too...I had an Andrew Wyeth book next to me while I was painting and I was interested in the way he did some of his simple and moody backgrounds...if you look, you'll see how he sometimes defines background foliage as simple, dark, inky washes that silhouette the focal points in the foreground. I was after something like that here. It's a little different for me but a healthy dose of exploration and experimentation. Your comments about it being "thoughtful and somewhat mysterious" are right on target to what I was after. Thanks so much for your comments.

Todd

It was such fun watching this little house come alive in class...watching it become a"Bonita" creation filled with nostalgia and charm. I learned a lot through this painting, Todd...how to become a "Poet" and not a "Recorder". Pat N.
