Wild! I love the design in this one with the reflection following the lines of the dock and the boat countering that. The reflection makes me wonder where it is. I cna't believe that is only a 6x8. I need to check some of these out in person when I am up that way this summer.

Takeyce, Jelaine and Frank, Thanks for the kind words. I'm looking forward to working on some larger pieces but this small one was great fun to paint. Frank, I know you come to the Cape in the summer, this will be at the Art House Gallery in Brewster with a bunch of my other boats as well. Give me a hollar when you come, maybe we can go out and do some plein air.
All the best,
Todd

Art House Gallery is on my list to check out some of your stuff. I'll be going to N. Eastham to paint with some friends and I show some stuff in Dennis on 6A, so this is right in between.
Yes, I'll hollar so we can hook up once I know some dates.

Great imagery, I love how you are able to weave the colors into this painting.

That's a keeper for sure! Beautiful painting. The color of the water and all the depth seen thru it; clever reflection of the blue sky and buildings; and worn paint and pier boards.. all beautifully painted! It amazes me also that you've captured so much detail on a smaller size panel!

I'm going to the Cape this summer too and would love to join any of you if you have a plein air session in
August.

Wow! Todd! This is fantastic! I love the way that you have painted the water and the reflections - and also the texture and depth of colors on the boat and the dock -
This is really outstanding!

All your work is beautiful but this one is exceptional.

Don, Helen and Austin, thanks for looking and commenting. I enjoyed painting the reflected houses in the backround. I think they add an almost abstract element to this painting, great fun to do.

best to you all.
