This is great, Todd! So moody! There was a similar old car in the "toybox" at my grandparents home that I used to love to play with. This painting sure evokes those memories for me.
Glad the piece is evoking memories for you Don, that pleases me for some reason. I think I was drawn to this car for nostalgic reasons as well.
Thanks Candy..your comments made me laugh and think about for a sec..there is definitely a Noir quality to it, not only in the dramatic moody lighting but the lines on that car seem to be right from that genre..hmmmmm Thank to you both. Todd
Thanks Austin, to me, thats where a lot of the love was with this car. The chipped paint revealed the long road this toy car traveled. I thought it gave it character. I hope you are well. best, Todd
Hi Todd, this looks absolutely fabulous and my imagination tells me this is the prop of an old horror film by Steven King - lol. It looks wonderfully creepy and one expects something luring behind in the darkness. It is very narrative!! Greetings, Petra
Hey Petra, so great to see your name in my in box again, I hope you are well. Sincerely. Thanks for your comments...Stephen King! There is no higher compliment! Now I'm laughing out loud. To tell you the truth, I was going for a dark and mysterious feel...Wonderfully creepy is much cooler though..you've made my day today, thanks again.
Thanks and Great to hear from you my fellow Sox fan!!! Christine, huh...another Stephen King reference...I'm not worthy but thank you just the same. All the best, Todd
Good to see your name in my in box. I hope you are well and spending more time at the easel than in the ER. Wishing you all the best in your continued recovery. Todd

I love this one. especially the metal peeking out from under the chipped paint.

Not at all surprised to see a SOLD on this one, so much character in a little painting - a very special painting for the lucky collector.
Thanks so much, really complimentary of you to say.
All my best to you,
Todd
