Another beauty Todd! As always, I love the implied narrative and the aged, stained card only adds to that poignancy. Beautiful color harmony too- bravo!
Wow that is a very powerful image. Love the assimilation you can leap to with the worn card. Is that done on wood or did you paint the wood grain in? Nice work!
Thanks so much. The wood grain you see is a trompe L'oeil effect, hand painted to look like wood. The surface is wood (masonite) panel but not visible under the gesso and paint.
Its been a little while since I visited and wow, I've really been missing out! Through the Heart is both fun and powerful; I love the wear on the card. And I've always loved your boat paintings, but being partial to old cars I was so excited to see your Vrooom and Vintage paintings - the aging of the metal is spectacular as is the way you lit the cars. Yummy! Guess I'd better subscribe so I don't keep missing out :-)
Mary, Thanks a bunch. I did watch and very much enjoyed the Sox celebration..this is so wonderful to finally have an era where the home team is on top. Fingers crossed for the play offs, be good Mary.
Terry, Glad you stopped in to have a look and thank you for the nice comments and observations. I signed you up on my subscribe list, happy to include you. All my best to you both. Todd

Extremely well done.
Did you enjoy the celebration last night? Funny, after all these years to be reigning World Champions.
Love it!
