Oil Paintings by New Hampshire seacoast artist Todd Bonita
Excellent work Todd...I like how well you used warm against cool..awesome reflections in the water and great composition.
I admire the softness of your paintings. The light is warm and gentle.
I always see paintings of the harbor as the subject. I like how you turned the idea around and made the harbor as more of a setting for your wonderful boats. As usual the mood in you painting is excellent. I want to be sitting on that dock right now...
Denny,Great to hear from you my friend. I was just on your blog and spent a lot of time looking and drooling. It's easy to be sucked into your world through your paintings. Awesome work. When are wegoing to paint together? We live so close to one another, we really should connect with our paintboxes. All the best,Todd
Hi Shirley,Good to hear from you again and thank you for the kind observations about my light quality. That's a high compliment to an artist. Thank you sincerely.Regards,Todd
Jeremy,Thank you. I nevertire of your observations. You really have a sensative eye and a tremendous love of this craft. Always a pleasure to hear from you.All my best to you,Todd
Fantastic! I simply love the way you paint boats ; the fine details , lights and shadows are amazing !Thanks for sharing!
Yo Todd!... So glad to see this new post my Friend! T'is a beauty for so many reasons! Love the composition which encircles your usual boat themes- Nice touch! The use of Rockport Painters' Destination #1 as a reversed background foil in the composition is grand! The whole piece is as tight (in composition) as that slip knot at the dock!Hope that the family is well and that the weather is letting up for you down that way. I'm still travellin' about on snowshoes... and lovin' every minute of it!Good to see "You" back!Good painting and warmest regards,Bruce
Beautiful! the red is just enough to center the focus, while drawing everything in...... lovely reflections. Viewing your work is like a little escape from the hustle and bustle of this crazy world.
