The one thing I see the most in almost all of your work is you must paint your back ground last. That in itself is the absolute worst thing that you could do. That style tends to Halo the foreground and take away from the beauty of your work. I can see that possibly the red has bled into the background. otherwise very beatiful work.

Thank you so much for your critique, you picked up on something I hadn't really noticed before. The more paintings I finish, the more I find I'm developing a working process. Ruling some things out and sticking with some things that work. Thanks for taking the time. All my best to you,

The rose is beautiful, but something about the background or lighting makes the painting look flat somehow. I'm not a pro, so I'm not criticizing at all, just noticing.
